Sheri Hargrove is a glass artist originally from Minnesota. Sheri has been working with fused glass for over a decade and works with dichroic glass to make jewelry, bowls, platters and dishes. Sheri moved to Port Aransas in 2005 to escape the harsh Minnesota winters, and this year chose to move off the beautiful island to explore other areas. Sheri has been working with glass as a medium full time since 2008. Sheri opened the art gallery at its original location on beach street in Port Aransas in July of 2010. In 2013 she relocated to a larger space allowing her to teach fused glass until Hurricane Harvey wrecked havoc in August of 2017 destroying both her home and business. Sheri spent a year rebuilding the art gallery and studio and reopened in April 2018 and resumed teaching in July 2018. After one hurricane season post Harvey she realized her nerves could no longer live under the threat of hurricanes and she made the gut wrenching decision to stop teaching and restructure her business around her personal artwork. In October of 2019 Sheri packed up everything to move to Kentucky to be close to her brother and rebuild the studio once again focusing on providing fine fused glass artwork in galleries and art shows.
